Finding an Item
Products are sorted into categories. The main product categories
can be found under the PRODUCTS tab in the menu at the top of your
screen. Choosing a category will take
you to a list of sub-categories. Selcting a sub-category will present
a list of relevant products.
You can also search for part number and descriptions by using our
search feature
Placing an Order
To place an order, begin by finding the item(s) you want on the
website (see "Finding an Item").
Each product has a full description of all available information
on that product and provides links to downloadable resources (manuals, code,
appnotes etc.)
1) Enter the quantity and click the "Add to Cart" image
2) If you need to change the quantity in the shopping cart, adjust the number in the
"quantity" field and click the RECALCULATE button.
3) When you are done shopping, click the CHECKOUT button in the
shopping cart.
4) To continue shopping, click "CONTINUE SHOPPING". You
will be returned to the last product page you visited.
To get a shipping quote before placing your order, click the SHIPPING QUOTE button in the shopping cart
Purchase Orders
To place an order using a Purchase Order (P.O.) you must have an
account established with us (except educational, government and
military). If you have an account, simply fax your P.O. to 403-730-8903.
There is a $100 minimum order (before taxes and shipping) to purchase
on account.
Please note that we do not open accounts for first-time orders
(excludes educational, government and military) or those
making infrequent orders. Term accounts are intended for customers
who purchase regularly.

When Will You Ship My Order ?
Under normal circumstances, orders for in-stock items received
by 3 pm (mountain time) are shipped the same day.
Volume & Educational Pricing
Volume pricing is shown on each product page. For quantites greater
than those shown on the product page, please contact us for a quote.
Educational pricing is available to recognized educational
institutions. Sorry, but we are unable to acknowledge individual
students. In order for educational pricing to be visible to you
on the web site, we must register you as an educational customer.

Minimum Order
While there is no minimum order requirement, there is a $5 handling
charge for all orders of less than $30 of value (before the addition
of shipping charges or taxes). This charge is to offset the cost
of processing small orders.
There is a $100 minimum (before taxes and shipping) to purchase
on account.
Paying by Credit Card
Payment by credit card (VISA & Mastercard are accepted) is
the fastest and simplest way to pay for your order.
Paying by Money Order
-Canadian Customers: Money Orders
can be obtained from any bank or post office. When you submit an
order online, you will receive an email with the total
amount of your order and mailing instructions. Your order will ship
as soon as your money order is received. IMPORTANT:
You must complete and submit your order on this website, even when paying by money order.
Money Orders received without a correspoinding online order cannot
be processed.
-U.S. Customers: ONLY U.S. POSTAL
SERVICE International Money Orders in U.S. funds are accepted. Please
note that INTERNATIONAL money orders are PINK in colour (domestic
are GREEN). When you submit an order online, you will receive an
email with the total amount of your order and mailing
instructions. Your order will ship as soon as your money order is
received. IMPORTANT: You must complete and submit your order on this website, even when paying by money order.
Money Orders received without a correspoinding online order cannot
be processed.
-International Customers: Due
to difficulties in depositing money orders generated by many foreign
banks, money orders from customers outside of North America cannot
be accepted at this time.
Paying by Email Money Order (Canadian Customers Only)
Canadian customers can save the time associated with mailing a
traditional money order by sending an Email Money Order. To use
this method you must have online banking at one of the major Canadian
banks (Royal, CIBC, TD, BMO, Scotia). More information, including the "shared password"
you will need is included in the automatically generated email that is sent to you when you submit your order.
Your order will be processed as soon as the transfer is completed; often the same day.
Paying by Cheque (Canadian Customers Only)
Payment by cheque is the slowest method of payment available. We
will accept payment by cheque but there is a 7 business day clearing
period from the day we deposit the cheque until the order is shipped.
To pay by Cheque, select the "Cheque" option in the Payment
Method section of the order form. You will receive a confirmation
email with the total amount of your order and mailing instructions.
There is a $25 CAD fee for cheques returned NSF (non-sufficient
funds).
Paying by Electronic (Wire) Transfer
Wire transfer is the least desireable of all payment methods. Customers
wishing to pay using this method should be aware of the fees that
will be charged by their bank to process. In addition, we will add
a charge of $25 to your order amount for processing costs charged
by our bank.
When you submit an order online, you will receive a confirmation
email with the total amount of your order and bank information.
Your order will ship when the funds are received into our account.
Taxes & Duties
Taxes
All orders shipped within Canada will be chaged 6% GST (14%
HST in the Maritimes). WE DO NOT CHARGE Provincial Sales Tax (PST).
Orders shipped outside of Canada will not be charged tax
of any kind. NOTE: Authorities in your country may impose local
taxes on arrival. Check with your local customs office for more
information.
Tax Exemptions
ALL orders shipped within Canada will be assessed GST. There are
NO exceptions.
Duties
Most of our products are duty-free under NAFTA and other treaties.
Any duties imposed outside of Canada are the responsability of the
recipient.
Shipping
Shipping via Courrier
All courrier services have $100 worth of indemnity (insurance)
included with the shipping price. This insurance cannot be removed to lower
the cost of the shipment. If the value of your order (excluding
tax and shipping) is over $100, we recommend that you purchase additional
insurance to cover the full value of the order. If you decline insurance,
your order will ship with the default $100 insurance only. If the
package is lost or damaged, you will be not be covered for any loss
over $100. By placing an order, you accept responsability for the shipment when it leaves our facility.
Shipping by Air Mail
US / International: Since insurance is not available, the
customer ASSUMES FULL LIABILITY for the full value of the order from
the moment the order leaves our facility. If you are uncomfortable with
this risk, please choose another shipping method. HVW Technologies
Inc. will not be responsible for mail items
that do not arrive a their destination. There is nothing
that can be done to track, trace, or otherwise find a missing mail
item. Despite the potential risks,
mail is extremely reliable to most parts of the world.
All shipments are F.O.B. our location,
Calgary, Alberta, Canada. HVW Technologies Inc. cannot be held responsible
for any cost of replacement of lost merchandise or buisiness arising
from the delay, damage or loss of mechandise by a carrier.
While costing a little more, courrier shipments are often worth
the peace of mind.
Picking Up an Order in Person
** WE DO NOT HAVE A DISPLAY AREA OR SHOWROOM **
HVW Technologies is a web-based business and as such
have designed our website to showcase our products -far better than
we could in even the largest showroom. If you are in the Calgary
area and wish to pick-up your order, simply select "pick-up"
as the shipping method. We will process your order and have it ready
for you to collect at the appointed time. For the safety of our
staff, We do not accept cash payment. VISA, MasterCard and
Money Orders only. Please note that you must place an order via this website at least 1 hour before picking-up your order.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are provided by the shopping cart system. Rates depend on location, shipping method and total weight. Place
the items in your cart and select "get
a shipping quote" from the shopping cart page. Shipping costs will also be provided when checking out. You may cancel the process at any time
My Order Hasn't Arrived -Where is it ?
When your order is shipped you will receive an email notifying
you of the shipment and providing you with invoice and tracking/trace
numbers (where applicable).
If you have not received an email notifying you of the shipment,
then the order probably has not shipped for some reason. Possible causes
can include: missing information, credit card issues, security concerns
or a lack of stock. In most cases a sales representative will notify
you of any delays in processing your order.
Orders Held for Security Review
We require certain informaion form you to process an order. This
information also allows us -in most cases- to confirm the validity
of the order and the person making it. If the information provided
is incomplete, false, or gives us reason for concern; the order
may be held for a security review. This usually means that
a representative will attempt to contact you or your bank (for credit
card orders). If we are unsuccessful, an email will be sent notifying
you that the order has been cancelled because we cannot confirm
the order. This process is intended to protect both the customer
and us from fraud. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation.
Returns (from within Canada)
All returns require an RMA number.
You may return merchandise (excluding software, books, special
or custom orders, and items marked Final Sale) within 14 days of
purchase for whatever reason. All goods must be in new and unused
condition and be in its original packaging. Beyond the 14 day period,
there is a 20% restocking fee.
No item will be accepted for return after 45 days.
To make a return, please contact HVW Technologies to obtain an
RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. All returned goods
must have an RMA number to get a refund (RMA numbers are issued
by technical support (Support@HVWTech.com)). Return shipping must
be prepaid by the customerand items must be properly packeaged in a box.
Envellopes, padded or otherwise, are not acceptable packaging. We strongly
recommend that you insure the shipment -we cannot be held liable for
returns that are lost/damaged in transit. You will be refunded using the
same means as were used
to make the original payment. Money Orders will be refunded by cheque.
Items returned within 14-days of purchase (in unused condition)
will be refunded the full cost of the item, less shipping.
IMPORTANT: Items must be properly packaged
for transit. Envelopes are NOT satisfactory for this purpose. A
suitably sized BOX is required. Any damage incurred due to improperly
packaged goods is the responsability of the customer.

We respect your privacy. We have a formal no-spam policy in effect
that protects you from unwanted email solicitations. Any information
you provide (email address etc.) or details of what/when you purchase
are held in strict confidence and will be used ONLY for the purpose
of completing your order. Your information will NOT be used for
ANY other purpose. We do not sell/lend/give customer information
to anyone.
Let's face it; nobody likes to receive unwanted garbage. An unsolicited
E-mail is just as bad as a salesman calling you on the phone or
ringing your doorbell during dinner. We hate spam as much as you
do (maybe more -you should see how much we get !) so you should
know that we won't contribute to your overflowing spam-filter mail
folder.

Why Do I Need an Account ?
Our online ordering system asks you to create an 'account' so that
we can serve you better. When you create an account, you provide
all the information that we need to process your order, and it gets
encrypted and stored so you don't have to type it all over again
the next time you make a purchase. Please note that as an added
security policy, credit card information is NOT stored on the web
system. You will be asked to enter your credit card each time you order.
ALL information provided is kept in
strict confidence and is used only for the purpose of filling your
order(s). Please see the section on Your Privacy

Information you provide for purposes of placing an order are strictly
confidential and are not used for any other purposes other than
the fulfilment of that specific order. That said, we expect that
the information you provide is accurate and true. Orders containing
false information will be cancelled without notice.
For your protection, our servers are secured using encryption technology.
When connected to the secure server (Netscape users have a lock
that closes in the bottom left-hand corner of your browser screen,
Internet Explorer users have a lock in the bottom right-hand corner)
all information you send is encrypted and can not be decoded, even
